Hello, that's me!

I come from a B.S. in computer science with summa cum laude honors and specializations in human-computer interaction, user interface design, and computer graphics. I have a passion for innovative digital experiences and I’ve always been a developer driven by design methodologies. I seize the essence of life and style, blending my passions for technology, design, and user behaviors.

After eight years of leadership in the NYC FinTech scene I have joined the team at Hook & Loop NYC, the creative think-tank and UX design shop within Infor. Fueled by high-energy and NYC’s best coffee, I continue to learn and grow amongst some of New York City’s most talented UX designers, developers and Information Architects

XM Mobile

Hook & Loop worked with the Infor Expense Management (XM) Product and Development Team and an external Infor customer to build a new XM Mobile app based on client needs and served as a proof point for our unique approach.

We set out to create an easy and efficient tool for the customer’s consultants to capture receipts and expenses, and submit expense reports from their iPhone® mobile devices, online or off.

The contextual user journey defined the path for an app that meets the needs of any Infor customers who want to easily create and submit expense reports on the fly. Combining mobility and agility enabled us to build momentum around collaboration—and an actual product that will deliver value for the users, Infor’s customer, and Infor.

The application will go live in December 2017 and will be available in the App Store for iPhone. Testing is underway, and after the R1 release, there are at least two more releases scheduled before Inforum 2018 in September.

 

ProjectMAX

ProjectMAX represents the vision for the next-generation user experience, not just for mobile but as the touchstone for all Infor user experiences. While developed as a mobile application for Infor CRM, its real value is defining a transferable user experience that delivers highly relevant information in easy-to-navigate flows that guide the user and recommend best next steps. Illustrating the Mobility Mind Shift tenets, ProjectMAX was created through:

Collaboration

Innovation takes a village. Hook & Loop worked with key stakeholders, product managers, and solution consultants all of whom provided critical insights and essential expertise to guide us during implementation via an agile methodology: level playing field, nimble, and autonomous. Hook & Loop Development and Design teams were at the center, partnering with the Infor Customer Experience (CX) product team and their solution consultants (ICS), the Common Tech team and Birst solution consultants.

Artificial Intelligence

ProjectMAX gave us the opportunity to pilot how AI (Infor Colemen™) could power search, navigation, and the immediacy of data through conversational UX. A conversational UX allows the intelligence of Coleman to be woven throughout the experience. Scroll around MAX and you will see that the narrative of Coleman’s voice is present in almost every screen, telling you only what you need to know, exactly when you need to know it.

Data Aggregation

CRM and Infor CloudSuite™ Industrial along with Birst and Marketo have a wealth of data, and it took the cross-Infor team an extraordinary effort to devise the modules to be powered by a single data feed or multiple feeds as needed. The app was designed with limited fixed components, favoring variable widgets driven by multiple data points delivered across multiple APIs. This approach allows a more engaging framework, eliminates bloat, and omits the artificial boundaries of our applications via a single access point that seamlessly correlates information into the way users need it.

Consumer-Grade Experience

The objective was to provide value-in-context to the user—surfacing the parts of CRM, CloudSuite™ Industrial, and other applications as needed by the user at any particular time. The design incorporates just-in-time delivery, conversational UX, AI, and machine learning. Variable and fixed widgets bring high-value data from different sources in digestible chunks, and are prioritized based on daily and timely activities.

I've spent a lot of time working with non profit organizations and it has become a passion of mine. I served 4 years on the board of my local running club, Rockland Road Runners, a 501(c)(3) that helped to springboard me into the local charity scene and enabled me to increase the amount I give back.

Under my leadership we raised over $100,000/year for local charities and drew over 6,000 runners to our 5 annual races. Membership increased to an all time high with over 500 members. We started the RRR Scholarship program, awarding over $5,000 in scholarships to local college bound runners each year. We involved next generation with the RRR Kids Program, a 6 week program ending with a 2 mile fun run geared toward elementary and middle school aged children to keep them active and fit during the summer. Our annual draw is over 200 kids.

In the 2013 NYRR Annual Report I was quoted as saying "You can do more with running than just cross the finish line" and I meant it. Aside from RRR I have used my athletic aspirations to spearhead multiple individual fundraising campaigns that helped to raise over $10,000 for charities including Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross, and Association for the Visually Impaired.

The Marisa Fund

The Marisa Fund was established in 2005 to support research in Pediatric Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian and the Columbia University Department of Pediatrics. Since February of 2011, their fight and research has continued at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital under the leadership of Dr. Mitchell Cairo, M.D.

All About Endurance

I am obsessed with endurance sports. I love the numbers: the mileage, paces, VO2 Max, cadence.. I love the training. I love the focus. I love the pain of endurance sports. I began running back in 2010 at the age of 27. I never ran in high school or college but caught the bug as an adult. Still, I consider myself a fairly accomplished runner. The four pillars of my running have always been fitness, friendship, competition, and charity. I am consistently working to learn, train, grow, and improve.

In 2012 I joined the SPCARBON NYC Team and began cycling. In 2017 I finally jumped in the water and started my jounrey into triahtlon. It's a contant balance of work, life, and training. It's the thrill of it all: the challengs, the goal setting and the focus that helps bring me balance.

Run Every State

To run a marathon is an experience. From the training to the finish line, these are experiences we remember fondly. After my first marathon in New York City I decided that it was important to collect these experiences. I set my goal to run a marathon in all 50 states. At the end of my journey I will have visited every part of the United States and will have a beautiful collection of experiences – and finisher medals.
